The Ark is owned and run by Roz Young and Hayley Painter, who live in the local community.  We realise the importance our staff play in your child’s experience whilst at nursery.  Because of this, staff retention, training and development and motivation are, along with the care of the children, at the forefront of our philosophy.  All staff are CRB checked at enhanced level.

The staff are lead by an Early Years Professional, Roz Young, who oversees the care and the learning opportunities for all the children.  Roz is able to use her skills as a trained and experienced Early Years Professional to lead the team beneath her.  This allows a continuity of care throughout the nursery and ensures that your child receives the best and most appropriate care.  It also allows you to relax in the knowledge that your child will be experiencing suitable and exciting learning opportunities that will allow them to grow and develop in all their different areas of development.

Each child will have a dedicated key person, throughout their time with us, forging a special bond.  Each key person is responsible for keeping records on your child’s development and needs, while maintaining the special relationships between parent, carer and child.  

Parents are welcome in the nursery at all times and are positively encouraged to become involved with all aspects of their child’s lives whilst at nursery.
