Outdoor spaces provide a valuable additional environment for children to experience and explore.

It provides many opportunities for different activities as well as to develop indoor activities in a different context. Whilst structured play is a valuable way to use outdoor space, the potential for child-led unstructured fun activities is paramount.  

In order to allow children to experience all the opportunities of outdoor play a “free-flow” environment is operated.  This allows children to choose to play indoors or outdoors at all times.  Children are free to flow in and out as activities and staff are in both areas.
